Teacher tips and shortcuts
  • Before you reveal, ask a few children how they knew. One might see 3 and 2, another 4 and 1. Both are right.
  • The reveal shows one way to see the number: each group gets a ring and its size, then the total.
  • Dice patterns put each group in the layout from a dice. Scattered drops the ladybugs anywhere on the leaf, and in the reveal they walk into groups.
  • Start with 1 to 5. Move to 2 to 10 when most of the class can say 4 or 5 without counting. Shorten the time once they're quick.
  • Space does the next step. R shows the ladybugs again before the reveal. F is full screen, M mutes, Esc opens this menu.
